Barry, C.C., and Susan were three teenagers who found an old, beat up dune buggy in a junk yard and they named it "Schlepcar". When a magic horn was attached and put into use, the car became Wonderbug! As Wonderbug, Shclepcar had the power of flight and was able to help the three teens capture crooks and prevent evil wrongdoing.

Of the three segments on the first year of the Krofft Supershow, Wonderbug was the only segment that made it to second year. Reruns of the show were later shown as part of ABC's Sunday morning series, Kids Are People Too

Of the three main actors, John Anthony Bailey was the most active after Wonderbug ended. Under the name Jack Butler, Bailey acted in approximately 20 adult films.
